Enebish Ganbat's Mongolian Groom Upsets Awesome Again

You plan and you prepare, you lose, you get tired. But you have to keep on trying. Something presents itself. Mongolian Groom at 25-1. The horse goes on to easily outdo the 1-9 favorite McKenzie. Trainer  Ganbat (below) admits he was surprised, expecting only to hit the board. Nice surprise.

Nov 2 - Very sad footnote. The horse was supplemented to the Breeders Cup Classic. It was the last race for this trier. MONGOLIAN GROOM had speed three deep then stalked outside the runner-up, bid three wide into the second turn, stalked just off the inside leaving that turn, then suffered an injury to the left hind in the stretch, was vanned off .... and euthanized. The Breeders Cup at Santa Anita was without blemish until that final turn of the event. With all that humans enjoy now in the form of replaceable limbs, I wish we'd see progress for horse care as well. The carnage his year has been incredible - many look for remedy, but many too want nothing that will change their world.
